Things I won't remember

I won't remember all the long days followed by the long nights followed by the long days.

I won't remember the days I fed them popcorn for dinner and felt guilty.

I probably won't even remember the exact moment each of them took a first step, or said their first word.  I'll just remember that one day they were just doing it and it was AWESOME!

I won't remember the 700 times a day I had to run up the stairs to wipe a butt.

I won't remember all the trips to the store with them whining the whole time.

I won't remember how I was lucky if my day included a shower.

I won't remember what my life was like before I became a mom.

I WILL REMEMBER THE LAUGHTER.

I WILL REMEMBER THE SMILES.

I WILL REMEMBER THE DANCING.

I WILL REMEMBER THE HUGS AND KISSES (some of them extra wet)

I WILL REMEMBER THE SPECIAL DAYS LIKE BIRTHDAYS AND CHRISTMAS.

I WILL REMEMBER THE FAMILY OUTINGS LIKE THE ZOO, THE MUSEUM AND APPLE PICKING.

I WILL REMEMBER THE LOVE.

THE LOVE I FELT, THE LOVE I FEEL, AND THE LOVE THEY HAVE IN THEIR HEARTS.

I will remember that all the struggles, heart ache, exhaustion and crying was worth it for even one moment of happiness.

I will remember that watching them grow was the most exciting, scary and wonderful time in my life.

THEY will KNOW that they were always loved more than anybody could be loved, and then they were loved more.

To my two beautiful children -- you make my days interesting, exciting and full of love.  I am so happy that you are mine.
